Your area means something because there is exactly one certified ICON shop inside it, and because every other shop runs the same way. An exception in one city thins out every area, including yours.
It also means the work behind ICON is pooled, and it points back at whichever shop holds the area it is running in. That is why areas go quickly once a region opens.

We only partner with AAA shops. Before any partnership we do a proper assessment of the shop, the team and the market. If there are gaps we will tell you straight, and we usually have a way to close them together.
That is how the network stays worth being in, and it is the same reason your area holds its value once you hold it. Every shop we talk to is measured the same way yours would be.
